Dedicated to the improvement & progress of competitive swimming Ladies and Gentlemen, Swimmers, Coaches, Officials and Spectators, On behalf of the Committee of Dereham Otters Swimming Club, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to this year’s Iceni Open. We are delighted to welcome swimmers, coaches, officials, volunteers, families and supporters for what we hope will be a fantastic weekend of competitive swimming. The Iceni Open is always an important event in our club calendar and provides a wonderful opportunity for swimmers to put their hard work and training into action. Whether you are aiming for a medal, chasing a personal best, achieving a qualifying time or simply enjoying the experience of competing, we hope you have a successful and enjoyable meet. Events such as this would simply not be possible without the enormous amount of time and effort given by so many people. Our sincere thanks go to our coaches, officials and volunteers who work tirelessly both behind the scenes and poolside to make the event possible. We would also like to extend our thanks to our sponsor, Rogers and Norton Solicitors, for their continued support of Dereham Otters Swimming Club and the Iceni Open. Their support is greatly appreciated and helps us continue to provide opportunities for our swimmers. To all our swimmers: this weekend is your opportunity to show what all those hours of training have been for. Swim with determination, support your teammates and fellow competitors, and above all, enjoy the experience. Whatever the result on the scoreboard, take pride in giving your best. To our spectators: thank you for joining us and supporting the swimmers. Your encouragement creates the atmosphere that makes events like the Iceni Open so enjoyable, so please get behind all of our competitors and help make this a fantastic weekend of racing. Finally, we wish every swimmer the very best of luck and hope that everyone joining us has an enjoyable and memorable Iceni Open. Let the competition begin!
